SPOTLIGHT FOR APRIL
What I wish school staff knew…
A great title for an amazing morning! If you were not able to attend in person you can watch the recording of this information session from March 2024 which heard the voices of neurodivergent young people (and neurodivergent adults who grew up in Highland) talking about their school experiences. Whether you are a parent, carer, professional, or neurodivergent young person you should watch this fabulous series of five short films Archive Recordings 2024:
Nate, age 11
Emily, age 14
Joseph, age 15

Welcome to the Pines website. We are a multi-agency team supporting children and families with Neurodevelopmental needs throughout the Highlands.
The Pines building was opened in 2009 to support autistic children and their families in the Highlands. It still offers the same service - housing a multiagency team of Highland Council professionals, NHS staff and third sector organisations, although the remit has expanded to support children with all neurodevelopmental conditions, before and after diagnosis.
Everything we do is underpinned by the Highland Practice Model
