Sharon Smith from the Pines training team looks at effective communication. This includes using simple clear language, using gestures, using visuals and giving thinking time. This video will be helpful for anyone working with a child with neurodevelopmental differences.

Attention & Listening

Children’s Listening and Attention skills underpin their ability to follow instructions and to understand and learn language. They are also important for children’s early literacy skills. This video training is just over 30 minutes long and helps us to reflect on children’s development of listening and attention in the early years and strategies we can use to support developing listening and attention.
