What is DCD?

Developmental co-ordination disorder (DCD), formerly known as dyspraxia, is a condition that affects the planning and execution of motor tasks. It causes a child to find daily activities more difficult.

Children can appear to move more slowly and/or clumsily than their peers. They are less accurate when carrying out activities that involve motor coordination such as;

The Dyspraxia Foundation is a country Wide charity, founded in 1987 as the Dyspraxia Trust by two mothers who met at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Sick Children.
